Bryan and Cassie are a couple who decide to stay in a house in Umbria. They are trying to mend their relationship, after Cassie was caught having drunken sex with a co-worker. Since then, Bryan has become impotent. Cassie goes out for a run, and falls down and injures her ankle. She flags down a passing truck, and a handsome man named Federico stops and helps her. He gives her a ride back, and then offers to give them a ride to town the next day. They agree, and spend an awkward ride there the next day. Bryan accuses Cassie of not being able to see how Federico looks at her with lust; disgusted, Cassie leaves to go back to the house. Bryan gets drunk at a bar, Federico joins him. Federico invites two ladies to help Bryan back to a hotel. Bryan and the two ladies end up having sex. Bryan, due to Federico surreptitiously drugging his drink at the bar, has no memory of this and takes a taxi home.

In partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Elks National Veterans Service Commission has pledged to help end veteran homelessness, and ensure that every veteran has the safe, stable home they deserve.
Most veterans move into their homes with nothing. Elks can help veterans establish their homes by building Welcome Home Kits. Generally, this kit would include some small furniture, kitchenware, and cleaning supplies. Items can be new or used, donated or purchased.
The Elks National Veterans Service Commission is offering additional grants to Lodges in the 12 target cities identified above. These grants of up to $10,000 will be available specifically to assist veterans who are homeless, or at risk of being so. Applications become available online April 1, 2022, and available until all grant funds are claimed. Here are the requirements:
The Elks Emergency Assistance Fund provides one-time financial assistance to veterans who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness. Veterans registered with and receiving services from the Department of Veterans Affairs in one of the 12 cities with the greatest number of homeless veterans can apply for one-time assistance with rent, security deposit, mortgage, or utilities. Veterans must be referred by a VA social worker.
New homes to be built will range from single-family homes to duplexes and townhouses, with a few multi-family condominiums. Depending upon the property, qualified buyers are those earning below 80 or 100 percent of Area Median Income.
During the Fall of 2022, MOH engaged with our neighbors about 70 of the 150 parcels that have been identified as potential sites for building new, affordable homes. This first cluster of 70 sites is largely in City Council District 4, just north and south of Talbot Avenue at Blue Hill Avenue. Sales of these newly built properties will create more affordable homeownership opportunities, hopefully for more BIPOC residents.
Overall, respondents were excited about the prospect of owning a home in their neighborhood. Some requested that neighborhood residents be given a preference in purchasing the homes. They asked for open space, large units, and better public transit.
In addition to the survey, MOH conducted three focus groups. In each 10 to 15 person group, participants mentioned the desire for homeownership opportunities and a preference for larger units and outdoor space. Participants in all three focus groups noted that parking is a necessity without nearby public transportation.

The Center was established in June 2009 as a 501c3 non-profit organization in a rented house with limited resources. By 2014 the Center had acquired a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house that was converted into office space for the volunteers and a temporary shelter for homeless veterans. Our financial assistance grew from $300 in 2009 to over $44,000 in 2018. Fundraising is diverse and ranges from golf outings to Beach Bashes, to car shows, and many other events that allow local civic and community organizations to help support both the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center and the Hutton Reintegration House.
In 2015 we assisted 300 veterans; in 2019 we assisted 1,228! For those veterans who are homeless and who meet entry requirements, there is a place for them at the Hutton House. Those who do not meet the entry requirements are referred to other organizations that will find housing for them. Since 2014 fifty-five vete
